Epworth is seeking to construct a new 6-storey building alongside Epworth Richmond on Bridge Rd to house the Brookes Academy.
While learning opportunities provided through the Brookes Academy will be available to nurses and midwives at all Epworth sites, this new building will give the Academy a physical home. It will be a place to come together to collaborate, talk, listen and observe in a purposely designed environment.
The new building will be equipped with the latest digital technology including a world-class Blended Learning Simulation Suite – BLISS, including 360-degree touch screens to create a truly immersive learning environment.
Epworth will be the only hospital in Victoria to have this technology available to their staff.
The construction of the Brookes Academy building will only be possible with philanthropic support. Make your donation today.
With this technology, we can put participants in virtual environments, such as a triage area, a surgical suite, or a delivery room.

Helping to build the Brookes Academy for the future
Epworth provides an exceptional level of care for its patients and needs the training facilities to ensure its nurses and midwives continue to deliver world-best practice.
We believe this new facility will be truly world-class, providing the latest in technology and training facilities. The value of education can never be underestimated, and we are so proud to be supporting the Brookes Academy which is such an innovative development by Epworth.
My (Anton’s) mother was a nurse, and the Brookes Academy is a wonderful way of recognising her legacy for our family.
