Your support can help patients recover and return to their lives!

Levels two and three Bethesda Wing are rehabilitation wards and need to be updated to meet the modern treatment and rehabilitation needs of our patients!

Patients in Bethesda may be recovering from stroke, heart-attacks, major road accidents, neurosurgical procedures, joint replacements and other conditions and come to the ward to receive care to help them recover and return to their lives.

We need your support to help raise $1 million to refurbish these wards.

For some patients, their stay in Bethesda will be brief, while for others, their stay will be many many months as they are helped to regain the movement and skills they need to live as independently as possible.

The therapies patients undergo while in these wards are designed to help them get back to their lives as soon as they can. For some people their priority is being able to live at home independently while for others it is returning to work or caring for their family again.

Kim, one of our Occupational Therapists says “It’s incredibly rewarding to see patients who come into the ward needing two people to help them walk, eat their cereal or make a cup of tea and then seeing them leave walking by themselves and able to live independently.”

If you have ever been in hospital, you will know how important it is to be treated for in an environment which both supports and encourages your recovery.

Your support today will help transform spaces and transform recovery.
